Dr. Kanyike Andrew Marvin is a co-founder and general secretary of Healtorch Foundation Limited. He is a medical doctor with a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery and an early-career researcher. He works as a research associate and medical officer at Mengo Hospital. Additionally, he serves as a research officer for the Lancet Commission on Medical Oxygen, based at Makerere University School of Public Health.
Dr. Kanyike is also a research fellow at the HIV, Infectious Disease, and Global Health Implementation Research Institute (HIGH IRI) at the Center for Implementation and Dissemination Research, Institute of Public Health, Washington University, St. Louis.
With three years of active research experience. Dr. Kanyike has received additional training in monitoring & Evaluation, and implementation science from the University of Washington. He is an esteemed member of the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy and a member and early-career researcher grant awardee of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
He is also an alumnus and community action grant awardee of the Aspire Institute Leaders’ Program, founded at Harvard University. Dr. Kanyike also provides research consultancy services and has consulted with reputable organizations such as the International AIDS Society.
